MP3C(1) Linux User Tools MP3C(1) NAME mp3c - convert audio-cds to mp3 SYNOPSIS mp3c [-i <configfile>] [-b <batchfile> [-t <tmpfile/dir>]] [-d <cdrom- device>] [-v] [-n] DESCRIPTION This program is a frontend for every cdripper and mp3-encoder program. It uses CDDB-functionality for converting audio-cds to mp3. It can run in interactive and batch-mode. OPTIONS -initfile <file> use alternative configfile -batchfile <file> run in batch mode and create shell script -tempfile <file/dir> specify a different directory for tempfiles (ripped-files), if started in batch mode (-b option given) -device <cdrom-device> use this device (overwrites default-configura- tion) -news show which things have been changed in a news version of MP3c. -version shows version, program and other informations and exits For detailed help take a look in the README file. Handling of interac- tive- mode should be obviously. INTERACTIVE USE If no options are given on the command line, mp3c will run interac- tively. LAYOUT Screen is divided into TOC of cd (upper part) and status information (lower part). KEYS The following keys control mp3c in interactive mode: PgUp, PgDn, up and down cursor, Pos1, End select a track. Space, Del swap encoding flag s swap artist and title ALT+s swap artist and title on marked tracks F1 opens online-help. F2 opens options menu F3 encode files F4 encode actual file F5 create batch-script F12 quit program FILES Settings will be saved in ~/.mp3crc. You can also use /usr/lo- cal/etc/mp3crc. To use another config-file use "-i" switch when calling mp3c.
