PKSDCTL(8) System Manager's Manual PKSDCTL(8) NAME pksdctl - OpenPGP Public Key Server Control program SYNOPSIS pksdctl socket string DESCRIPTION pksdctl sends strings to a running pksd via a UNIX domain socket. The strings (which must be a single argument in the shell) are interpreted by the running pksd process as commands. Three string forms are sup- ported: backup The backup command from previous versions is no longer supported. The procedures referred to in pks-intro(8) should be followed to make a backup. disable userid All keys matching the userid will have the disabled flag set. mail msg The file msg will be parsed as a mail server request. If the file is a valid request, the request succeeds, and the response can be enqueued, then the file is re- moved. shutdown The key server shuts down cleanly and exits.
