NAME
       uwidth -	Low level helper function for testing Unicode text data. Alle-

       int uwidth(const	char *s);

DESCRIPTION
       Low level helper	function for testing Unicode text data.

RETURN VALUE
       Returns	the  number  of	 bytes	occupied by the	first character	of the
       specified string, in the	current	encoding format.
