NAME
       git-ss -- display a status summary for a	Git repository

SYNOPSIS
       git-ss [<options...>] [--] [<pathspec>...]

DESCRIPTION
       The  git-ss  utility  is	merely a shorthand for "git status --short" to
       report a	short summary of the status of a Git  repository.   It	passes
       all command-line	arguments to git-status(1).

RETURN VALUES
       See git-status(1).

ENVIRONMENT
       See git-status(1).

FILES
       See git-status(1).

EXAMPLES
       Show a status summary for the current Git repository:

	     git ss

       Filter  only  the C source files	from the summary of the	src/ subdirec-
       tory:

	     git ss src	| egrep	-e '.c$'
