GIT-SSQ(1) General Commands Manual GIT-SSQ(1)

NAME
git-ssq -- display the names of files not added to a Git	repository

SYNOPSIS
       git-ssq [<options...>] [--] [<pathspec>...]

DESCRIPTION
The git-ssq utility displays	the names of files present in the Git
repository's directory, but not added to	its contents or index. It
does this by running a "git status --short" command and displaying only
the names of the files on lines starting with a question mark. It
passes all command-line arguments to git-status(1).

RETURN VALUES
The git-ssq utility exits 0 on success, and >0 if an error occurs.

ENVIRONMENT
       See git-status(1).

FILES
       See git-status(1).

EXAMPLES
Show the	files not added	to the current Git repository:

	     git ssq

Filter only the unknown C source	files from the src/ subdirectory:

	     git ssq src | egrep -e '.c$'
