SRANDRD(1) SRANDRD(1) NAME srandrd - simple randr daemon SYNOPSIS srandrd [OPTIONS] COMMAND|list list List outputs and EDIDs and terminate OPTIONS -h Print help and exit -n Don't fork to background -V Show version information and exit -v Verbose output -e Emit connected devices at startup -1 One-shot mode; exit after emitting connected devices (implies -e) DESCRIPTION srandrd(1) is a tool that executes a command on xrandr output change events, i.e. if a monitor is plugged or unplugged. By default srandrd forks to background and exits if the xserver exits. The following variables are defined: SRANDRD_OUTPUT defines the name of the graphics card output / port that triggered the event, e.g. DVI-0. SRANDRD_EVENT defines the event that happened. It's one of the following: [connected|disconnected|unknown] SRANDRD_EDID defines a semi-unique identifier of the monitor that has been connected. The identifier is usually not unique (the same) within a monitor series. The identifier has this format: VENDOR[4]PRODUCT[4]SERIAL[8] SRANDRD_SCREENID defines the xinerama screen id (if available).
