XVTOPPM(1) General Commands Manual XVTOPPM(1)

NAME
xvtoppm - convert from xv's .xvpics format to ppm

SYNOPSIS
       xvtoppm .xvpics/file

DESCRIPTION
xvtoppm	is a simple-minded script that	converts xv's ``Visual Schnau-
zer'' files into	the ppm	format. This makes it	possible to use all
those files to create a contact sheet without scaling down the original
images again.	Check out icontact's -Z	option which turns off scaling
of the input files. Also check out the -M option which will allow you
to, say,	double the size	of each	image.

SEE ALSO
       xv(1), icontact(1), ppm(1)

BUGS
xvtoppm doesn't take into account all the information on	the first line
of the	input files.	If the format ever changes from	the ``P7 332''
version currently in use, this program will fail.
