     ldns_status ldns_octet(char *word, size_t *length);

DESCRIPTION
     ldns_octet()  removes  \\DDD,  \\[space]  and other escapes from the input.
	    See RFC 1035, section 5.1.
	    word: what to check
	    length: the string
	    Returns ldns_status mesg
