ss5.supa(5) File Formats Manual ss5.supa(5)

NAME
ss5.supa - Enable	Secret User	Password Autehntication (see
		     http://csocks.altervista.org/)

SYNOPSIS
ss5 usually communicates with socks client in clear-text. If SS5_SUPA op-
tion is set, ss5 encrypts user credentials during the authentication step
     with socks client (see http://csocks.altervista.org/).

DESCRIPTION
To enable SUPA authentication with the ss5 daemon you must set SS5_SUPA op-
tions in the ss5.conf file indicating the secret key value (must be 16
bytes long). Before SUPA authentication works, you must install openssl
     package.

To add SUPA authentication, change the line to:
	  auth - - s

set SS5_SUPA SS5_SERVER_S_KEY (SS5_SERVER_S_KEY is the default value)

     3. Restart the server.
