NAME
     xt_strisreal() - Return true if string represents a valid real value

LIBRARY

SYNOPSIS
     int     xt_strisreal(const char *string)

ARGUMENTS
     string: The string to be tested

DESCRIPTION
     Determine	whether a string is a valid real number by attempting to convert
     it using strtod().

RETURN VALUES
     Non-zero value if the string represents a real number, zero otherwise
