STARTLXQTWAYLAND(1) LXQt Wayland session STARTLXQTWAYLAND(1) NAME startlxqtwayland - script to initialize and launch LXQt Wayland sessions SYNOPSIS startlxqtwayland DESCRIPTION startlxqtwayland is a shell script meant to initialize and launch LXQt Way- land sessions. Its main tasks are exporting environment variables, partly after performing corresponding checks, and launching the configured compositor which will launch lxqt-session, the LXQt session manager. It copies the basic configu- ration file(s) to $XDG_CONFIG_USER for the compositor configured in lxqt- config-session if not present and tries to set the keyboard layout accord- ingly to $LANG. It can be run directly from tty but rather it is invoked by display man- agers like SDDM or LightDM. Display managers are making use of scripts like startlxqtwayland automati- cally. Information about available desktop environments is provided by files $XDG_DATA_DIRS/wayland-sessions/*.desktop, typically /usr/share/way- land-sessions/*.desktop. BUGS Bugs can be reported on https://github.com/lxqt/lxqt-wayland-session/is- sues. SEE ALSO lxqt-wayland-session(1) startlxqt(1) sddm(1) LXQt 2.3.0 November 2025 STARTLXQTWAYLAND(1)
