transiso   --  8-bit Character Encoding	Converter Generator V1.13

				 transiso

Function
	transiso is a program that reads two  Character	 Encoding
Descriptions
	Files  (the 2nd	must be	iso10646) and creates a	converter
program
	source or just a table	or  a  binary  translation  table
file.

	(External) tool

Format
	transiso src_code dst_code tab_name {-c|-t|-u|-b|-n} {-d}

	      All parameters in	{} are optional.

	      Positional parameters:

	      src_code	   the	name  of  the source Encoding De-
scription File

	      dst_code	  must be iso10646

	      tab_name	  this is the  filename	 prefix	 for  the
converter source

	      optional switches	(can be	positioned "anywhere")

	      -c	  create complete ANSI-C program source
			  <tab_name>.tab,     <tab_name>.c    and
<tab_name>.h

	      -t	  create table file <tab_name>.tab only
			  for #include in C programs

	      -u	  create table file <tab_name>.uni only
			  this is Unicode A  Format  as	 used  by
unicode.org

	      -b	  create table binary file <tab_name>.xlt
			  this is used by transce8

	      -n	  create no file

	      -d	   dumps  tables  read (for debugging) to
stdout

Note
	Default	is "-c". Only one of "-c", "-t", "-b",	"-w"  and
"-n" is
	allowed.

Example
	# create a converter from Codepage 850 to ISO 10646
	transiso cp850 iso10646	850xiso
	#  create  only	the conversion table from Codepage 852 to
ISO 10646
	transiso cp852 iso10646	852xiso	-t
