bk sane(7.3.3) BitKeeper User's Manual bk sane(7.3.3) NAME bk sane - check for various BitKeeper requirements SYNOPSIS bk sane DESCRIPTION Run this command from within a repository to check whether the reposi- tory is configured correctly. bk sane checks for a valid hostname, username, and permissions on various metadata directories, and the ability to lock the idcache. If everything is sane, the command exits with a 0 exit status and no output. If there are problems, a detailed error message is displayed on stderr and a non-zero exit status is returned.
